Last Updated: May 14, 2026
Rux Labs ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications, including Clockdown (collectively, the "Apps"), and when you visit our website at www.ruxlabs.com (the "Site").
1. The "Local-First" Data Promise (Clockdown)
We believe your personal events are exactly that—personal. Clockdown is built on a local-first architecture. All countdown data, event names, dates, and custom images are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, collect, or store this event data on our servers.
2. Information We Collect
Because of our local-first approach, the data we collect is minimal and primarily related to website analytics and app functionality.
- Usage Data (Site): We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. This includes anonymized IP addresses, browser types, device types, and pages visited.
- Diagnostic Data (Apps): We may collect anonymous crash reports and performance data to improve app stability.
- Contact Information: If you reach out to us via
support@ruxlabs.com, we retain the email and its contents solely to resolve your support inquiry.
3. Third-Party Services
Our Site and Apps utilize industry-standard third-party services that may collect data as governed by their respective privacy policies:
- Google Analytics: For website traffic analysis.
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements within the free tier of our Apps.
- RevenueCat & Google Play Billing: To securely process in-app purchases and manage Pro subscriptions. We never see or store your payment card details.
4. Global Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA, APP & PIPEDA)
Depending on your location (such as the EU, UK, California, Canada, or Australia), you have specific rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access & Deletion: You may request to see or delete the data we hold. (Note: To delete Clockdown event data, simply delete the app, as we do not hold this data).
- Right to Opt-Out (CCPA): We do not sell your personal information. You can opt-out of personalized advertising within your device's native settings.
- Lawful Basis (GDPR): We process minimal diagnostic and analytics data under the basis of "Legitimate Interest" to maintain and improve our software.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Site and Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
